IBM goes on a hiring spree

In a happy, go-lucky turn of events, IBM is hiring almost 19,000 new employees. This is excellent news with the IT sector still struggling with the recovery of all of those layoffs that happened not too long ago. With no real surprise to me, only a third of these jobs will be based in the U.S.
Much like so many other companies such as Dell and HP, IBM has been criticized for hiring so many of the IT jobs off of the U.S. shores. Still, I guess we should be thrilled there is any hiring going on at all I suppose.
