GRAMPS And The Family Tree

I suppose you could go ask gramps to tell you all about the family tree, but if you’d rather do the research on your own, GRAMPS can still help you out. “GRAMPS is an acronym for Genealogical Research and Analysis Management Programming System. It allows you to store, edit and research genealogical data using you computer” and Linux, of course. GRAMPS is written in Python using the GTK2 bindings to provide the interface, so you’ll need Python 2.2 and preferably 2.0+ of both gnome-python and pygtk2. If you’re into genealogy, check out the application. It’s a solid performer.
