Linux as an OS excels in many areas; sadly, gaming is not one of them. However, there seems to be hope on the horizon in the form of Cedega 4.0. What! You’ve never heard of it? Maybe you have, but under its old name WineX (Transgaming recently changed the name). This ExtremeTech report looks at installing various gaming titles under Cedega 4.0 on three distros: Fedora Core 2, Suse 9.1, and Xandros (the downloadable version). The results make for an interesting read.
