What’s the answer to a “better” Linux OS? A single Linux OS that has the same features on every desktop or perhaps a Linux Desktop that is still “your own,” but much simpler to use. While the debate will probably rage on, I for one would lean with the simpler, not single ideal. Jay Lyman from NewsForge explores both and talks about what it will take when crunch time finally hits and it is time for Linux to put up or shut up within the mainstream PC users world.
