If Linux interests you, but you’re not ready to partition your drive just to test it out, the best way to “test drive” the OS is to use a “live” version of a distribution such as Mandrake, SUSE or PCLos. There are also live distributions like Knoppix and Morphix, just to mention the more popular. No installation to the hard drive is required. There may be minimum system requirements, so read before trying. But for many people, this is the best way to see if this OS is right for you. Also a good way to show your friends and family what Linux is all about.
