I’ve got two items of interest this time. First, Linux
Journal is running its annual Readers’ Choice Awards.
Participate by going to http://linuxjournal.com/article.php?sid=6967.
Second, warning! Activism
alert! From time to time, I will include relevant
activist links with an explanation so you can decide whether you
care to click on them or not. These will always have a related
angle to this newsletter.
There’s a fascinating (soon-to-be) open source project recently
announced at MIT that I think is vital for Americans to visit and
utilize. In response to the monitoring of US citizens, US citizens
are now monitoring the government! See the Open Government
Information Awareness site at http://opengov.media.mit.edu/. Don’t be blinded by government FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, and
Doubt).
Disclosure: I’m a US citizen, and a Canadian landed
immigrant.
