It seems we had some Lyris problems last night that delayed the delivery of your favorite Linux newsletter. Jake, being the Lyris guru he is, managed to work through the problem, and it looks like your delivery should work flawlessly today.

The only items of real interest today is the release of Gnome 2.0. This is the long-anticipated release that, according to those who’ve seen alpha and beta releases, will take Gnome to the next level. I plan on spending the next few nights downloading, installing and tweaking my original favorite desktop environment. I should have a full report, chock full of details for your perusal, no later than the first part of next week.
