Now that we’ve nearly worked our way though the lilo.conf file, I’ll tip you off to a nice graphical configuration tool to accomplish nearly the same end. As always, I’ll do this with the caveat that it’s important to know how to configure and manage these files manually - GUIs are convenient, but require additional resources and less knowledge about the underlying system.

lilo-conf is, indeed, a clean GUI-based configuration tool for lilo.conf. It’s incredibly lightweight, weighing in at a mere 154K for the .rpm version. If you’re using KDE, lilo-conf can also be configured as a plugin to the KDE control panel. Even as a standalone, lilo-conf is an easy to use tool for setting up the perfect dual boot system.
