Penguin Shell, Day 30

Penguin Shell, day 30: 21 issues, 9000 subscribers, 7500 emails, 3 DIY Fridays, 2 distro reviews, enough tips and tricks to get you going, and a Penguin in a pear tree. I think we’re starting to gather a head of steam.

My wife called me at work yesterday to say that a box had arrived from Suse. Weighing in at a hefty 8.3 pounds, it was the full boxed set of Suse 7.3 Professional. It’s a bit weighty because it contains 7 CDs, 1 DVD and 5, count ‘em, 5 books of documentation. Pretty timely receipt, I must say. Suse was next on the list for the Great Distro Review. I’ll install tonight and give it a fair and objective shakeout over the next few days. It’ll be tough around packing for Japan and putting Penguin Shells in the can, but, hey … a man’s gotta have priorities, right?

Right. And right now my priority is to step aside and yield the floor to my friends and colleagues from around the world. It’s another DIY Friday.

Have a great weekend.
