Anticipation or Illness?

Well, to say last night was a restful one would be a stretch of the imagination. I climbed into bed at 11pm and started to get comfortable. The temperature in the house was perfect and after finishing up watching my favorite TV show, Everybody Loves Raymond, I snuggled up to my wife and closed my eyes.
It didn’t take long for me to begin getting uncomfortable, it was as though someone cranked the heat up in the house. Now, we live in Florida and the heat hardly ever is on, it’s more likely the air conditioning is on and last night it was. The temperature in the house was close to 67° and I had both a ceiling fan and floor fan going strong. I was burning up and had thrown the blankets off only to find that it did me no good. I tossed and turned until close to 4am before finally falling asleep. The alarm began to sound at 5:30 for my wife to wake and gets the kids off to school. I rolled over and turned it off and fell back asleep until 7am when the alarm sounded again for my wake up call for work. I rose the find my legs week and my body tired. I felt like a truck had rolled over me. After some thought I decided that I was in no shape to go to work so I called and let them know I would not be in.
Now I know what you are thinking, Chris your getting your MacBook today aren’t you? Well yes I am and my wife made that same remark. I must say I am excited about my new MacBook arriving today but I don’t think that has anything to do with me burning up all night. I think I am actually skirting the flu right now, and that is fine with me. I have had some headaches and body aches lately but drink plenty of fluids and get plenty of rest on most nights. I only get sick about once a year and it’s usually late, towards fall or winter.
Anyhow, I am on the couch right now relaxing and waiting with anticipation for my new MacBook to arrive. The UPS driver is going to get tackled when he does pull up in front of the house. My next post should be from my MacBook and I look forward to it.
