Heaven forbid you have a not-too-common disorder, illness, or mental condition. The medical system is not a very open-minded organization as a whole.
The doctor I used to work for poo-pooed chiropractors. It is only recently that chiros became covered by insurance.
My wife has fibromyalgia. Most docs will tell you it doesn’t exist.
