The Obama administration announces a $63bn health plan to fight Aids and tropical illnesses in the developing world over six years.
Ahem….. do we or don’t we have a health insurance problem in the country known as America?
STATUE OF LIBERTY FLYOVER FALLOUT
The White House aide who authorized the AF-1 New York flyover resigned today. I call BS. He didn’t even have a decent explanation for why he did it, claiming that not informing officials was an oversite.
John McCain spent a lot of time chest-thumping about the cost of this mission ($357k). This would be the only time McCain or anybody else ever squawked about the cost of a mission. Small training missions can burn through the cost of several houses and do fairly often. McCain is an ass. Or worse - he’s a politician.
Louis Caldera, the aide who authorized the mission, simply took the fall for whoever it was that really authorized this flight. It was not a photo-op.
–> In related news, the Statue of Liberty’s crown will reopen to visitors on July fourth.

A $6.7 BILLION INVISIBLE FENCE?
Federal officials are getting ready to build what could be a $6.7 billion Virtual Fence along our southern border. Homeland Security said that the first permanent towers will hold sensors, cameras and communications gear to detect drug smugglers and illegal immigrants.
There is not going to be an actual fence though. Just spy gear.
Yeah, that’s great! Don’t stop them - just take their pictures. Very effective, guys.

The only way to go is a single payer health insurance system, as advocated by Ralph Nader and intelligent folk everywhere. Obviously the fat cat insurance and pharmaceutical companies fight tooth and nail (very sucessfully, I might add) to prevent it. NoBama needs to concentrate on fulfilling all those hollow campaign promises of his, before he ventures abroad. He’s such a humanitarian. LOL. Is the voting for the antichrist over?

The health care plan? Here’s the health care plan. …and the social security plan.
1. First, let’s tax (I know it’s not a tax–uh, yes it is) everybody and set up a fund, or 2 or 3, to take care of old people.
2. We’re doing such a good job of taking care of old people, we’ll just borrow that money so we can go to war.
3. Oops. There’s a lot of old people out there and their health care got expensive.
4. Free market capitalists steal money from everybody but mostly from charities, pensions, 401k plans and IRA’s.
5. The government gives away its money to free market capitalists, banks, auto companies, credit card companies, and insurance companies.
6. The government prints money.
7. Inflation ensues.
8. Health care becomes even more expensive.
9. That’s it, folks–we’re out of the taking care of old folks business. Bye.
10. Old folks don’t have retirement money or health care money, and everything costs twice as much. so they get sick and die.
11. Homelessness increases.
12. The food distribution industry collapses.
13. Old folks don’t go to Doctors or Hospitals because they can’t pay.
14. Hospitals close.
15. The medical support industry collapses.
16. Old people get sicker.
17. A state of emergency is declared because there are not enough resources to bury people.
18. A glut of Doctors and Nurses becomes apparent because there is a job shortage for them.
19. The government comes up with a plan to re-train doctors and nurses as undertakers and morgue technicians.
