The Handout and the Hypocrites

I find it very interesting to watch all of the chest-thumping coming from the self-righteous politicians over the AIG Bonusgate scandal.
These elected blowhards are spouting off in public forums about bonuses contractually due to officials of the AIG department that lost all the money. They say failure should not be rewarded.
If so, why did they vote for the handout in the first place?

The bailout was funded because the ‘knowing economists’ told us that AIG could not fail, and that propping them up with our funds was ‘the devil you know’.
What I want to see is AIG broken up, and going forward, corporate entities never allowed to be so entertwined that simple traversal by law enforcement, or anyone else is not possible.
If AIG and any other conglomerates are broken apart, there is no longer any validity for the government support of any for-profit enterprise.

The basic theory behind the stock market is that investors in a business become part owners and are therefore entitled to part of the profits generated by the business. As of the demise of dividends, that model no longer exists.
Starting in the early 80’s and continuing through the years of deregulation, the stock market became a gambling casino. As of creation of 401k laws, laborers became the unwitting customers of the casino. The “house” robbed the customers. That was stage one.
Stage two elists the help of the government. It consists of giving money to the beneficiaries of stage one and running up both the deficit and the debt.. The Fed will reduce the deficiit and debt numbers by printing money and charging into an inflationary period that will further rob wealth from the population.
Shoring up the credit markets is (if you want the analysis, ask me) an alternate method of printing money.
Stage one fed the private rich. Stage two will feed the government rich.
Take yourself out of auditory range of all of the current rhetoric and apply math to the situation. There is no other explanation.
