Lockergnome Bloggers: Firefox is Your Friend

I’m having a bugger of a time this weekend, getting my blog to cooperate. I have no idea what’s wrong but I’m losing a lot of information, when I can get to the blog in the first place.
Let me state that I love Lockergnome. I am privileged to be a blogger here. I try to participate where I can and be a part of the solution, not the problem.
If you use Firefox, there is a wonderful plugin called ScribeFire. It installs in Firefox and allows you to perform all of your blogging functions `offline’. This allows you to put together a blog entry, format it, and save it locally, in case the online blog is not well for any reason. It integrates wonderfully with Firefox, initially taking up half of the screen but most everything in this addon is adjustable. You just have to put in your credentials and the addon goes out and gets the relevant information. F8 is the shortcut key that brings it up or hides it, or you can click on the icon, whose default position is at the bottom Firefox bar.
I mention this because of my last hour trying to compose a few blog entries online. When I hit Publish, sometimes it sends the post to Drafts. Sometimes it tells me I cannot perform that function, then proceeds to lose parts of the entry or tags. If I had written them in ScribeFire, all of the pieces would still be there, even if the online situation was not optimal.
So check out ScribeFire - available where you get your Firefox addons (Tools, addons to start). The wonderful thing about most Firefox addons is that they work on any platform Firefox does. You don’t see that often.
To give you a practical example of how convenient this addon is, I went to upload this entry and promptly received this:
The Server Returned a `400 Server Not Found’ Response.

Wow nice find. I’ll have to use this myself!
