Report Says Troops May Be Needed To Quell U.S. Civil Unrest

Source: infowars.net

A recent report produced by the U.S. Army War College Strategic Institute warns that the United States may experience massive civil unrest in the wake of a series of crises which it has termed strategic shock.

I know the military experimented with Remote Viewing for many years but I have no idea how they came by this information.  It’s almost as if they have some sort of ESP.   I wonder if it’s related to the ESP shown by the folks who keep claiming that Barack Obama will face a serious problem around January 21, 2009.

The report, titled Known Unknowns: Unconventional Strategic Shocks in Defense Strategy Development, also suggests that the military may have to be used to quell domestic disorder.

Not only do they know something is going to happen, they know `that the military may have to be used to quell domestic disorder.’  When these people got into office, we had no idea what we were getting.

Where did this come from?  Why does the military immediately spring to mind?  The military has not been used against the citizenry; this is due to Posse Comitatus, which forbids it.  Why all of the sudden do we require the military?  This does not pass the smell test.

Deliberate employment of weapons of mass destruction or other catastrophic capabilities, unforeseen economic collapse, loss of functioning political and legal order, purposeful domestic resistance or insurgency, pervasive public health emergencies, and catastrophic natural and human disasters are all paths to disruptive domestic shock.

“unforeseen economic collapse” - as opposed to the foreseen variety?  Hey, we’re having economic problems now.  Isn’t that a wild coincidence?

“purposeful domestic resistance” - is that like civil disobedience?

Echoing recent comments made by Pentagon advisors, along with other notable figures such as Colin Powell and Joe Biden, Freir also warns that the incoming Obama administration should prepare for a  first term crisis that could act as a catalyst for such unrest.

Exactly as I said above.  How do they know this stuff?

The U.S. military expects to have 20,000 uniformed troops inside the United States by 2011 trained to help state and local officials respond to a nuclear terrorist attack or other domestic catastrophe, according to Pentagon officials, reported the Washington Post last month.

It just gets better and better, doesn’t it?  More fortune-telling from D.C.

The increasing militarization of America is part of a long term agenda to abolish Constitutional rule and establish a military form of government, following a large scale terror attack or similar disaster, as Tommy Franks, the former commander of the military Central Command, alluded to in a November 2003 Cigar Aficionado piece.

Uh-oh.

Please note that I did not make any this up.  I am quoting.  I have not drawn any conclusions.  They’re already there.  Feel free to draw your own.

Something Evil this way comes. Beware!

Actually, rumors of this whole idea got started when Nixon was still in office.

It should be made much clearer that the last “quote” beginning in “The increasing militarization…” is a quote from the article that this article references, and NOT a quote from the Army report. The way it is portrayed here is grossly misleading and potentially libel.

Sounds like a little 1930’s Soviet Union to me. That’s what we get by voting in an openly socialist president.

Stuff and Nonsense. The military, and other governmental organizations, as well as many private non governmental organizations make contingency plans. They develop all kinds of scenarios, and try to figure out how to deal with them. This is both a mental exercise, a training vehicle, and “contingency planning” These scenarios are not limited to “probable” events, and many are off the wall. I have participated in these sorts of excercises myself. No big deal.

We’d be pissed if the government didn’t have contingency plans for lots of different events, probable and improbable.

Get ready to face the ObamaNation. :-)

John Edwards is right. Bush should be impeached for giving away $1 Trillion dollars to the private, already wealthy, bankers of Wall Street. Damn socialist Bush, corrupting the free market.

At least we can all look forward to President Obama’s efforts to establish justice in the markets.

This isn’t new. The National Guard, which is the military, has been called out to quell civil unrest many times, i.e., think the south in the 1960’s. I was in the army stationed at Fort Meade Maryland in 1969 assigned to the 6th Armored Calvary Regiment. Our primary mission was riot control for Washington DC.
