The Real Difference Between Republicans and Democrats…

I’ve spent quite a while railing against what I refer to as the One Party: Greed.
I finally figured out a way to illustrate the distinction between R’s and D’s:
We’re going to get screwed in the worst possible place either way.
A Democrat will screw us and steal our money for KY Jelly.
A Republican will screw us and steal our money to give to Johnson and Johnson. *

There were Democrats long ago, before Hollywood got to them. Now there are just Republicans and Socialists. Talk about failed policies! Name one Socialists Country that ever got to our standard of living. It is mostly the Left’s Socialists experiment which they pulled on Fannie & Freddie that caused our Financial collapse. Obama had a large part in that destruction with his role in ACORN and now he is putting his criminals in charge of straightening out the mess?

The difference between Rep. & Dems is that it you ask a Republican his opinon on something they will reply “I think……”
The Democrat will reply “I feel……
It is as simple as that!

A Republican will steal our money and screw us without KY jelly.

Republicans believe everyone should pay the same tax rate on all their income.
Democrats believe a graduated rate should be applied only to a person’s discretionary income.
Republicans emphasize Exodus, Deuteronomy, Acts, Romans & Revelation.
Democrats emphasize Amos, Micah, Matthew, Mark, Luke, & John.

Difference? Democrats generally work on long term goals and solutions and Republicans look for the short term. Both have extreme sides to them and its usually the moderates from both sides that actually get something done.
What is happening is that the fastest growing portion of the electorate is the Independent. They tend to be moderates that don’t like the party politics and vote the person not the party. How much more this may fracture or not fracture our political system remains to be seen,
With re: to the rant on socialism. What about corporate welfare, farm subsidies, emergency rooms (still the biggest loss leader of any medical facility). Social supports are everywhere in our society. If you don’t like them change them.

One more thing…
I remember a financial adviser in our home talking about the market and he said there are actually 3 kinds of markets; the bear. the bull and the pig. It turns out he also was a pig.
This goes for people in Congress and the White House.

The Republicans have forgotten what they were about… There is not a dimes difference between the Republicans & Democrats. They have both become Globalist. That is why it is time to build the third party system. I’m going Constitution Party for President!

Thanks for your educated comments!
Mel - I looked into the Constitution party but couldn’t vote for them because they don’t believe in the religious part of the 1st Amendment. They seem to want something closer to a theocracy (than the current kleptocracy).

All sides agree that there is an evil party, and a stupid party. The disagreement is about which is which. :-)

Democrats demonstrate that they are concerned with Healthcare for all Americans while Republicans demonstrate that they are only concerned with Wealthcare for big business and the wealthy.
Social concern for 47 million Americans with no health coverage is the American way, it is not Socialism. That’s using “socialism” as a scare tactic without regard for its’ actual definition.
Our devastated economic situation is obviously the result of 8 years of Republican Wealthcare policy and their elimination of the required oversight and control of the market and the economy. Reaganomics is an abject failure. The current Republican philosophy is a demonstrated failure.
When we enter the voting booth we are all Independent. Since there is no viable Independent political party we must vote for what we think is the party that has the best philosophy for America. Voting to continue a failed philosophy makes no sense

the President proposes a budget. Congress creates and manages the budget. People who invest and run businesses do better with a Rep. congress. Since the Dems. took over congress……

I heard this story as an explanation of the difference between Dems and Reps.
A man is drowning.
A Dem throws a rope out to him and then lets go of the rope and goes on to his next project.
A Rep anchors the rope and then throws the rope out to the drowning man but the Rep makes sure the rope falls short of reaching him so that the man will have to show some initiative to get to the rope.

I think the reason the Rep rope falls short is the he has already taken his cut before he throws it…

My father in 1950, a member of a very staunch labor union was a staunch denocrat but didn’t worhship FDR or other similar party heads. He was a conservative democrat and voted as he felt led by God. I don’t know if he ever voted for a republican but know he was an open-minded, humble and fair man. He taught me to be the same way and I think I will honor his memory this election by doing what I feel he would have done were he here today. If he were, he would be 106. I will vote as he would have and it won’t be for someone who would/will lead this couintry to ruination.

Both will put you in the black hole of financial insolvency.

Answer to your question: nothing. That’s why I’m voting for Bob Barr…you have more than 2 choices. Remember…when you vote for the lesser of 2 evils, you’re still voting for evil. You’re only really throwing your vote away if you’re voting for someone you don’t really believe in.

Dem, Rep doesn’t make a difference which one it is, $ & greed still the one talking and running the show. They just demonstrated it once again, the country is in shambles we need to pass this bail out bill without partisan, etc, etc, etc and then what got it passed only a “little PORK” or $$ in the ole pocket.
Then they throw out the BILLIONS to “loosen up the credit” without any restrictions & what happens the healthiest get the $ and sit on it, buy back stock, give exec bonus’s, etc, etc etc. Seems to me it’s not the parties that need to change it’s the way we as a country need to change.
How about getting rid of the PAC’s, lobbiest, tagging on 100’s of items to a bill that has nothing to do with it at all, punishing a politician when caught doing wrong, etc, etc,. The politicians that have been elected by the people and then serve their on interest should be punished to the max instead of a slap on the wrist, which simply means go head and steal a million and pay the $100 fine. How about the CEO’s, CFO’s, etc. who created this mess, but slipped out the back door with MILLIONS in pay, bonus’s and retirement benefits. BY the way this is the same people that will put a person in jail for taking $100 of useless supplies to “set an example”.
Sorry about the rant and as you can see I’m not an elegant writer, but I’m just an average “Joe” that is really fed up with what is going on in our country…..

I cannot agree more, bi-partisan politics have ruined our nation. You are forced to vote for a “lesser evil”. What’s the deal with that? Some profit while many suffer. Please remember the definition between us a third world country, the middle class. We need a paradigm, but it won’t happen because too many Americans, particulary the youth, are very disinterested with politics. If some even really understand it without economic gain. Glad not ot have children and especially not dependent on Social Security.

There is no difference… they are both wings of the same party, the left and right, and seek nothing but caring for their own welfare and power. I’m keeping hope alive by voting Libertarian!
