My coworker was watching the debate on the bailout bill.  He was amazed that the vote so far (in the House) was strictly along party lines, with the Republicans against and the Democrats for the bailout.

Are we living in Reverse World today?  The Democrats are voting for corporate welfare?   Don’t make any mistake; both will take your money.  It’s just that the Republicans prefer to give it to their friends and the Democrats prefer to give it to `the people’.  I don’t see the people being represented here.  It’s like watching your own body being operated on.

Somebody already managed to stick in a provision about drilling for oil.  It’s like being raped, then having your car stolen.

During the debate, it came out that within the last week, WE also bailed out the auto industry to the tune of about thirty billion dollars, as well as seventy billion for other industries.  God DAMN, we’re good-hearted.  First the rich bankers, then the auto industry.

But what of the airlines?  Yes, I know we already gave them billions, but they’ve squandered it and we need to reward them for their initiative with another bailout.

Yes, folks, the only people who won’t get bailed out are the ones financing this whole Giveaway: We the People.

But don’t go away bitter.  After all, it’s your own fault for not being born rich and influential.
