china and the UN: the latest threat to your privacy

You thought you could rest.  The coast appeared clear.  You could surf with impunity.

You were wrong.

China has proposed that the UN draft regulations for a tracing protocol that could potentially kill anonymity on the net.  The UN, never opposed to thinking up draconian rules, is in the process of drafting them.

No, really.

Every time I hear about something the UN is doing, my insides get uneasy.  It is a blight on the landscape of my country.  Who made the UN All-Powerful?  Who is the UN to declare that it can overrule the sovereignty of independent nations?  Which buffoons will go along with it?

Oh wait, I found out which buffoons.  The NSA, which is lending a hand.  Quite a helpful bunch they are.

And it’s all happening almost in the light of day.

I have some special ideas for the NSA, which are now or will be very soon illegal to put on a blog.  As for the UN, I have the perfect solution: give it away.  Run a raffle.  Winner gets the UN.  No costs - we’ll even deliver the building.  If you prefer to pick it up, it will be located conveniently in the Atlantic Ocean.  Probably upside down.

Ahh…… Lefty! You have touched upon a topic that you and I are TRULY going to agree about. “U.N.” SHOULD stand for “unilateral numbnuts” and for your aforementioned topic. NOBODY is better at trampling the civil and human rights than this so-called organized group of multi-national thugs, thieves, and their ability to organize this brilliant effort with the poster-children for T-square human rights demonstrations: China. China’s track record for seizing control of the internet is demonstrated by the many “out of nation” Chinese nationals that have to find ways around the “peoples” controls of the internet’s useage. I, like you and MANY others do NOT want ANY organization seizing our internet privacy rights. To allow this group of internationally organized gang bangers in concert with “The Peoples Monitoring Monitors” legislative powers over us is to see to eventual END of the internet as we all know it. This simply cannot be allowed. The NSA is also the LEAST of our problems. The end to privacy while surfing is only the tip of the iceberg, Lefty.
