I seriously like this guitar. It’s a G&L ASAT Custom Classic. It would look so nice and feel so welcome next to my G&L Legacy. Lefties should never be separated, you know.
Neck and body have matching serial numbers. Something tells me I should avoid this.
“EVERYTHING ELSE IS ORIGINAL” - Fender doesn’t put righty necks on lefty guitars. The black appendage appears to be a MIDI pickup, which also doesn’t come on lefty Fenders.
I have been bitching for the longest time that I don’t have a blue guitar and that I’ll seriously try to make the next one blue. As much as I like blue, and I do like blue, I may have to pass on this one. And I used to think that the Gibson doublenecks came with chiropractors…
Long ago, in a musical galaxy far away, there was a big bang. After the big bang was a slightly smaller bang. The big bang is familiar to us all (except for Sarah Palin, of course). The slightly smaller bang was caused by the unfortunate collision of a lefty knockoff Les Paul and a lefty knockoff Telecaster.
Don’t believe me?
Ok, I confess… I made it all up (except for Sarah Palin, of course). The above was a prop on the set of one of the countless “The Fly” remakes. Help me. Help me.
1968 Fender Strat Masterbuilt Jimi Hendrix
You’re going to require a lot of suspension of disbelief here, folks. While it’s true that Jimi probably played a few `68 Strats, he only played backwards (right-handed) ones. For once, Fender got the pickups right - they’re lefty staggered. Since Jimi played backwards Strats, he wound up using righty staggered pickups. The truth is that I have never seen a picture of Jimi playing a lefty Strat.
Oh man, this will be PERFECT if I ever get into a Dokken tribute band.
My week would not be complete without noticing a precious little automated %*$&up.
