NEW YORK (AP) — As part of its new $300 million marketing campaign and image makeover, Microsoft Corp. plans to deploy its own customer-service representatives at retailers like Best Buy and Circuit City to help people with their PC purchases….

I was just complaining to my wife that there’s nothing to do around here after a rough five or six days working. But no more sitting around for me, no sir! We’re getting into the car tomorrow, heading straight for Best Buy, and I’m going to torture the living hell out of my very own Microsoft customer-service representative.
Perhaps I’ll start by giving him my feelings on the last few total systems crashes. Then I’ll educate him (and the entire audience that is starting to gather around) about how Windows drove me to linux. About never having to reboot. About stability and security. About open source (and free) software.
Then I’ll do a small aside about how it’s Bill’s Will that your pc be given updates, whether or not you want them. About rebooting production servers. About the reminder that you have to reboot every five minutes.
Then we can spend some quality time on Vista. [insert evil laughter] I’ll finish up with Internet Explorer. By this time the poor fellow will be begging for mercy and offering Microsoft back its entire $300 million budget.
It will be so funny that even Seinfeld will laugh.
Yes, we gonna have us some fun this weekend!
