I’m not sure I get your point. Ms. Palin is anti-abortion (her daughter has chosen to keep the baby) and she supports family values ( the couple is getting married instead of the girl going it alone). Is there something inconsistent here?

And what does teaching creationism have to do with this issue at all?

Perhaps you need to wake and realize it’s her DAUGHTER —NOT HER. If we want to go back to the early youthful antics of Mr. Biden, perhaps we should explore his multiple instances of cheating and plagarism? Is that a valid issue? At least it is the actual candidate’s behavior we can talk about.

Most people can relate to this happening and it is against the law to put your kids in a cage. Just like the slimy Media to run with this when they have a code of silence over Obama’s close relationships with Terriorists, Hatemongers, and Criminals. After all the daughter is not running for President.

I see something VERY inconsistent in having someone who stands on family values allowing her 17 year old daughter to get pregnant in the first place. Where were the parents in telling the kid “just say NO”? Where was the church they belong to telling this girl & the parents this is wrong behavior?

I’ve had it up past my eyeballs on political & social conservatives telling everyone else how wrong they are…while they & their families practice what they preach against. At least if you’re going to serve the message…be consistent with your behavior so you don’t need to be vetting press releases on your or your families behavior.

I couldn’t possibly give a smaller fig about politics but I do find it intensely annoying that this spiffy new interface Chris has provided permits to comments to your pieces on computer safety and pets (I didn’t check anywhere else). D - To be fair, I don’t think she *allowed* her daughter to become pregnant. I strongly suspect that if we removed religion’s (and society’s) `sex is DIRTY’ concept, we’d all be better off. But the irony is thick!

I don’t think this should even be an issue in the Republican’s campaign. These things happen to families everyday and I see no reason why Governor Palin is any different. If she was a male candidate, I doubt this would be an issue. For some reason the media have cringed onto this and I don’t think it’s right one bit.

I’d like to know if “leftystrat” has children? Or even pets for that matter. Most of those supporting B Hussein Obama live in an artificial world made possible by having no responsibilities other than getting up and going to their “careers” each day.

THEY choose to impose their left-leaning, one-world, socialist, communist views on everyone else. And yet they are the ones who usually don’t practice what they preach.

Sarah Palin is a great mother who had to do the best to raise children with morals in a society where they are being bombarded with the liberal version of free love, free sex, no consequences and moral relativity. She’s not perfect by a long shot, just forgiven. And she WILL be president in 2012!!!

Maybe you do support Obama, maybe you do not. You do get a “touche” for me not reading other posts of yours to determine your overall background. I concede I have not. Call me lazy if you like. I’d prefer “time-constrained”, as I like your self, probably have a life off-line that needs attention.

And I looked at the top of the article. This web page (Lockergnome) , at least, makes no mention of pets, personal hobbies, etc. simply the article itself and comments.

While mine was a reaction to yours and all of the negative criticism focused at Sarah Palin, it was by no means “knee jerk”. I’ve sat back for years and watched as people on the left “intellectualized” human behavior, blamed white males for all of their ancestors sins, and attemped to make all Americans ashamed for just being hard-working and prosperous.

Then along comes Sarah Palin and her family. Just because she and her husband didn’t make an online purchase at “chastitybelts.com” doesn’t mean she is a bad Mother, an ineffective leader, or a hypocrite. Both she and her husband are just trying to raise children in a country that has become increasingly un-family-friendly, and more young-hip-hop-street-urban- professional-friendly.

You never answered whether or not you had children. You need to realize that you simply can’t “conceptualize”‘ “analyze” or “rationalize” being a parent, especially a good one. Believe me I used to think you could before I started raising my own! Like it has been said, there is NO manual, and most of us have to make this s#!t up as we go along. We do rely on the advice and experience of others, but no two situations are alike.

Whether or not you agree with Ms. Palins politics, her daughter having a baby out of wedlock has about as much to do with her governing ability as the price of tea in China. This woman has been ragged on by the MSM relentlessly in the past few weeks, the same media that has given Obama a pass on Wright, Ayers, Flager and the like. And her family “baggage” is a non-issue compared to Obama’s political “baggage”.

BTW, I too am left-handed, as are my Wife and my son. My daughter went to the dark side of the force :)

My gut feeling on Sarah is that she’s the “Real McCoy”. She just doesn’t have that insincere politician thing going. Of course the Washington insider crowd hasn’t had a change to brainwash her yet, either. This will be an interesting next few months. If elected, I just hope that my worst fears about BHO are way off mark, and that he does prove to be good for the country.
