house panel votes to cite rove for contempt

Breaking: A House panel Wednesday voted to cite former top White House aide Karl Rove for contempt of Congress as its Senate counterpart publicly pursued possible punishments for an array of alleged past and present Bush administration misdeeds. Voting along party lines, the House Judiciary Committee said that Rove had broke the law by failing to appear at a July 10 hearing on allegations of White House influence over the Justice Department, including whether Rove encouraged prosecutions against Democrats.

The timing makes me wonder. They’ll have to do it while Rove’s out of the country or something. We wouldn’t want to upset the Grand Architect of the Bush Administration.

Whoops! Careful how you use that <pre> tag — as you can probably see from the above entry, it doesn’t work well in this case!

Thanks muchly, Bob.
I suppose it would help a lot if I previewed what I pasted, eh?
