racism - another issue

I did a post recently on racism. Today I’d like your opinions on a less-discussed side: false accusations.
The way things are today, if this strategy is used, most bets are off. By no means am I saying it is not needed; just that sometimes it is used maliciously.
Due to the politically correct climate in which we live, there are times when the complaint is leveled where the person being accused is not allowed fair treatment. Sometimes they are fired without notice, which is perfectly legal in ‘right to hire’ states.
How does one tell the difference in cases with a lack of overwhelming evidence? It’s purely he said-she said.
Have you ever been discriminated against? Have you ever had a complaint of discrimination filed against you? How did it work out?
