Iran discovers new oil well

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran has discovered an oilfield within its southwestern Farsi oil block, an oil official said on Saturday, without giving details of estimated reserves.
Uh-oh… I hear in the distance the subtle swell of the drums of war… in DC they’re frantically trying to come up with any plausible-sounding reason to invade. This one should be a real doozy. Don’t forget to have your kids sign up for selective service as soon as they turn eighteen. Uncle Sam might need them some day. Soon.

Another blood for oil argument? I was in Iraq and if we had wanted their oil, we would have taken their oil. You need to come to the reality that Ahmadinejad is a nut.

While I have no trouble believing that Ahmadinejad is a nut, there are many other nuts involved. As for the `we’ you speak of, you’re mistaken. This is not a US grab. It’s bigger than that.
Follow the money, John. Record profits, record prices.
What do we get? Debt and dead. We have no business over there and we were lied to about the reasons for going there.
In any case, glad you made it back alive. We lost too many of our people.
