mind games - how bush does it…

In a Tuesday interview in Britain, Sky News editor Adam Boulton asked George W. Bush:  “There are those who would say look, lets take Guantanamo Bay, and Abu Ghraib, and rendition and all those things and to them that is the complete opposite of freedom.”

BUSH: “Of course, if you want to slander America.

And this is how it happens.  Harry Truman was appreciated for calling a spade a spade.  George Bush calls a spade a bucket and keeps insisting it’s a bucket until people start to repeat it.  It’s diabolical yet fascinating.

Note to world:  do not stare at the flashing lights.

The problem with your assertion is that it presupposes intelligence on the part of Mr. Bush - while I am not calling the man a cretin, I doubt that his IQ is anywhere north of 105. And he seems to be handicapped with some affliction that precludes his finishing a simple sentence that includes a subject and predicate. Any tthing he accomplishes due to repetition is simply coincidental.

My thoughts always return to ‘putting food on your family’ . Perhaps this quaint way of speaking plays well in the red states, but it doesn’t make much impact in areas where proper use of the English language is respected.

The very worst part of his personality is that he frequently says something, and thinks he is doing US a favor by sharing, then letting out that little awkward chuckle - which makes me think he believes he is more intelligent than his audience.

Ok, allow me to clarify.
He repeats it until everyone else does. Before that, his handlers explain it to him, then make him write it 100 times, in crayon, before he’s allowed to go in front of the alleged media.

Afterward, if he performs well, he gets ice cream or a pony ride.

Better?

Wow, many people would do a lot for ice cream and a pony ride!
