E-Mail:

why so upset? it’s only 4.5 million…

Bank of New York Mellon Corp. officials last week confirmed that a box of unencrypted data storage tapes holding personal information of more than 4.5 million individuals was lost more than three months ago by a third-party vendor during transport to an off-site facility.

Could somebody explain this to me?
Is there anything
right about the above?

Let me try this again, only this time I’ll highlight a few pieces….

If I were looking for a job, I’d be sure to send a resume to Bank of New York Mellon Corp. Judging from the above, there should be a long list of vacancies. You should be able to take your pick of many good jobs.

Personally I’d opt for telecommuting. I’m just not that big on New York.
