stuff that works on linux

In short order, I’ll be detailing my `forced conversion’ to linux.  Until then, here are some programs I managed to get working… (under Wine)

uTorrent - I had a problem where the entire program keeps running but the screen goes gray.  I found out that if you minimize it, it will go to the taskbar, then when you bring it back up, it’s viewable.

RAR password cracker - no doubt slowed by Wine, but it works (a dual core overclocked AMD processor helps)

some VNC clients work, but I find them a bit unstable - ymmv

Palm desktop runs, but I can’t get it to sync.

AM-Deadlink - checks bookmarks, syncs between browsers

various (radio) scanner software - runs, but trouble with ports

XwRDP - tabbed remote desktop client

IE - just noted, I’m not proud…
