E-Mail:

wanna spy on cell phones?

Among other things, one drain on my financial resources (otherwise known as a hobby) is scanner monitoring. There is a law that any scanner manufactured after a certain year was not allowed to receive the cell phone band.

So people bought the older ones that did. But the point is moot because phones are digital and all you’d hear would be horrible noise instead of voices (unless you were concentrating on the internal voices).

Whilst surfing this morning, I came across the following:
http://www.advanced-intelligence.com/telephone.html#!au208

It’s a great site for businesses, spies, spy wannabe’s, hobby-types, and the paranoid.
[Remember - I'm not paranoid; I'm Acutely Aware] All sorts of bug detectors, receivers of many varieties, cell jammers (YAY, but illegal), and cameras. They hedged their bets nicely - they can sell to the spies AND their victims!

While you’re noticing that chill crawl up your spine, don’t forget that almost any scanner can intercept your cordless phone. So while you’re calling QVC for that FABULOUS NEW JEWELRY that you MUST HAVE, there’s someone who can hear every word. They can also write down your credit card info.

If I haven’t made you terminally ill yet, I’ll caution you to remember that AT&T got caught monitoring phone, email, and computer traffic in San Francisco, on behalf of the NSA. Rest assured that AT&T isn’t the only company doing this.

Have a lovely morning!
