Here is what I would like to see in the next edition of the Nintendo DS. It is not a lot, 3 things actually, but they would make the DS take over the PSP’s market share.

1. Bigger screens: You might have seen the rumored pictures of the new DS, here, and it looks amazing! If they can make the screens as large as the PSP’s, and somehow make the DS able to show only one screen (swivel possibly?) it would be a great media device.

2. Bring back Game Boy Color and Game Boy Games: Nintendo, you have a large collections of old games, that are still good. Why not let them in? I would love to play some of my old games without breaking out my Game Boy Advance.

3. Better Touch Screen: I know you are the first major company to bring touch to games, but Apple has perfected the market of Touch Screens. Just borrow Apple technology, and make it better.

Nintendo, if you are somehow listening, please do all 3 of those things. I know it will take a while, but I bet all Nintendo fan boys will be happy. Well, to my readers, if you are not following me on Twitter, please do.

Today I will talk about Digsby, which integrates e-mail, IM, and social networking. Also tips on how to get you more Twitter followers. And finally I will talk about my five-year old GameBoy Advance SP. Here we go.

I stumbled upon Digsby while searching for people on Twitter. The user I found using Digsby was, surprisingly, @santaclaus. So I asked my followers if Digsby was any good. Two people responded, @evanrocks010 and @thirtydaes, both with very positive remarks. So I went to download Digsby and got my accounts in order. (Digsby can sync your Gmail, MSN, AOL, any IMAP or POP mail, also almost any IM account. It also can get your Twitter, Facebook, or your MySpace.) After the first day of using Digsby, I have to say it is a pretty cool application. I may not use it for Twittering — I have Tweetdeck for that — but for my IM clients it’s amazing. I highly recommend this client for anyone who has more than a few IM accounts. I am going to give Digsby a 94%.

Now I have been on Twitter for a little more than 10 months, and I have currently a little over 260 followers. I started actually using Twitter in March, in only five months I have gained 250 followers. How did I do it? I did two things.

Tweet tweets you know people would like. I am hugely into tech, so I mostly tweet about techie things. Tweet about what you like.

When people stopped following me, I looked at other people on Twitter. The people with the most followers followed more people than they had followers (ex: Jason Calacanis). I just started doing this, and there is a way to get a better result. Follow people who are following more people than followers, if you get that you’re brilliant. Here is an example. I am following 500+ people. But I have 260+ followers. When I do get a follower, I follow them back. If you get it, you can follow me, I will follow back.

Finally I am going to talk about my old Nintendo SP. It is just about 5.5 years old, and it still is an amazing piece of technology. Some of the design is seen in the new DS Lite. Like the power button concept is like the DS Lite’s. I still love using my SP for light gaming. Playing some Super Mario Bros 2 is extremely fun. The best thing about the SP is that it plays GameBoy color and GameBoy games. So the SP has a huge selection. If I rated the SP back when I got it, the SP would get a 97%. But now, in the age of the DS, I give it a 91%.

That is all for this Tuesday, July 22. Do not forget to follow me on Twitter — 40 until the 300 mark!

As the title says, I will be reviewing Ping.fm. I am also giving my first thoughts of Thunderbird, and Last.fm. Lets get this “party started.”

In a previous post, I said “It was all working smoothly..except two things.” Since then the two problems have been fixed! So I am now using Ping.fm for posting to all my sites. It works smoothly, and efficiently. Everything else I said in the previous post I standby. Instead of the 86% I gave it last time, I am giving it a 95%.

First Thoughts: Mozilla Thunderbird. Thunderbird is an e-mail client, basically a free outlook. I just set it up today, and now using it with my gmail, yahoo, and msn accounts (if you need help with something I would be glad to help, just click the appropriate e-mail). Syncing up gmail was pretty easy. Msn was pretty hard-work, but Yahoo was a nightmare. I had to go to the support site, go through a ton of hoops to reach what I needed, then I had to install ypop, then restart. Do I have go much farther? After all of that it works every now and then. Thunderbird keeps disconnecting from it, and only stays on the gmail server. If I worked at Mozilla, I would spruce up the interface, and help people sync their e-mail, contacts, and calenders a bit more easy. I give Thunderbird a 88%.

At last is something I just signed up for today. I give you First Thoughts: Last.fm. If I had to explain Last.fm to my mom, I would say, “It looks at what kind of music you like, and shows you what you might like.” If I had to explain Last.fm to a geek that never heard of it I would say, “Its Pandora with a shorter name.”And that is basically what it is. I personally think that Pandora has a nicer interface. Kevin (a.k.a iPhone on Wyldryde) said “@KrnSidez Pandora for the iPhone is better”. As I have said from a previous post, I am saving for an iPod Touch, so I will see soon, but I trust him. Heck, Panadora online is better than Last.fm. The only thing keeping me from throwing this in my Trash, is the iTunes / iPod / Windows Media Player integration. Last.fm looks at the music you listen to, and tells you information about it, and gives you recommendations. I am going to give Last.fm 74%.

That is all, Twitter, Pownce, Kwippy, and Friendfeed.

Over the last week, I have been trying to avoid getting on the net. On Monday, my grandma was feeling horrible. So I had to call 911. Not going to go into detail, but the doctor said she is going to be alright.

Now here are some of the podcasts that I watch, that I recommend. (All can be found in iTunes, under podcasts)

1.Wine Library TV: Host Gary Vaynerchuk talks about his adventures in the wine world. I watch WLTV for entertainment purposes, rather than educational.

2. Diggnation: Just a superb show. Hosts Alex Albrecht and Kevin Rose talk about the top stories on Digg.

3. Totally Rad Show: Three rad dudes, Dan Trachtenberg, Jeff Canata, Alex Albrecht, review movies, games, comics, t.v. shows, and more. Very funny.

4. Cranky Geeks: Host John C. Dvorak and 3 guests (Sebastian Rupley is on most of the time) talk about tech news.

5. Scam School: Host Brian Brushwood shows you scams you can use on the street and at the bar.

Well that is all I have to say for today. Oh yeah, Twitter.

Hello everyone, once again. I am here to talk about my experience with the Apps store, maybe getting an iTouch, iPhone sucks, and a few updates. Without any more little chit-chat, here it is.

As me hating went on during release day, I remembered that the apps store was released that day as well. So for the fun of it, I downloaded iTunes 7.7. Then went to the apps store. I looked at some of the apps and thought… this was worth the price of a Touch (which will be talked about in the next paragraph of my blog). So I thought “what the heck”, so I downloaded some apps. I downloaded the staples, eBay, iTunes remote, Tap Tap Revenge, Twitterific, AIM, Pownce, and a few more. After a while, I thought to myself again…why not download more apps? They are small in size, and mostly free. So I did. Now here I am with 75 apps I cannot use. Which brings me to why I need an iPod Touch.

Now, when the iPod touch was announced back in September, I was skeptical. “Who in their right mind would get this? The iPhone is about the same price, and you get a fucking phone!” It has been almost a year, and my thoughts have changed. Since I would rather get a Nokia from 5 years ago than get an iPhone3G (explained next paragraph), the iTouch is for me. But there is one minor problem. The price tag is…..too big. I could get an 80GB Classic instead of an 8GB Touch. Or get 2 iPhones for a 16GB Touch. I am expecting a MAJOR price drop in the coming months. If they do not give me a price drop, they should at lease give me more bang for my buck. Maybe a Camera? Or the ability to share music with my friends (no I do not want an app, I want native sharing from the iPod function). Well that is what I want out of the Touch. Now onto the stupid 3G.

iPhone3G… What can I say, besides why do I need it?? I can buy a perfectly good last generation iPhone and put 2.0 firmware on it. I do not need 3G because I stay home most of the time (I know most of you reading this do too), plus my area does not get 3G. You can check your coverage here. Another reason iPhone3G sucks is AT&T. I know what the commercials say it is America’s #1 network, more bars in more places, and more ridiculous claims. Just to note, when I was going to Yosemite this summer, we had 3 different cellular networks in our car, At&t, Sprint, and Verizon Wireless. As we were going to and from Yosemite, only 1 network stayed on its network the longest, and it was not At&t. It was Verizon, so At&t, get your facts straight. Apple, give your JesusPhone to Verizon next time. Now onto updates.

Not much to say here. I gave my 1500th update earlier today on twitter. Of course you can follow me here. Kwippy is going as strong as ever. Follow me on Kwippy here. I got all my links put together on my About Me page (Look up). That is about it. Have a great day all.

TweetDeck. So far what I have used of TweetDeck is TERRIFIC! It is amazing! I love using groups to group people’s tweets I NEED to watch, and others for my IRC friends. I also use a search window to look at people replying to people (ex: GaryV’s 500th episode, I was watching other people’s tweets on how the show was in person). There are only 3 fallbacks:

No customizations of colors.

No manual refreshing like what is in twhirl.

No cross messaging.

I NEED to message my pownce, Kwippy, plurk, and a few more (please follow me on those places). I am going to give TweetDeck… a 96%!

So… Kwippy. I was turned on to Kwippy by Bwana’s YouTube video about it. I instantly was suspicious; nothing is better than my fabulous Twitter! But I had to try it for myself. I signed up, after I got a beta code, and got everything set up. Then I got my Gtalk sync’d up. Now… I use it every day. It is quite fun - not as big as Twitter, but funner. I do not know how to explain it - even the name is cooler. If I had to rate Kwippy, I would give it an 89%!

So that is about it. Oh yeah, Twitter. If you are not following me, follow me! I might be random, but I do have my gems. Thank you for reading. I will be back soon.

Twittering is a big deal in “Web 2.0″. Everyone is using it, from Barack Obama to Kevin Rose to Me. But in the past few months, my twitter page has been flooded with people spamming their twitter clients. Now, I have kept an open mind, but what the fuck is going on!! I will talk about 3 different twitter cliants which I have used, I have used several others but now I will only talk about these 3. They are Twhirl, Hahlo, and ping.fm.

First up is Twhirl. Twhirl is on the adobe air platform, meaning it is a program on your desktop. It can be found here, and it is free. I have used it for 3 months, but I stopped using it a month ago. Do not get me wrong, it is an excellent program, especially since it is free, but i had many problems with it. First off, it kept getting overloaded with tweets, which made me very very frustrated. Second, it almost never loaded the first time, I had to keep clicking the icon…then after a few tries it opens. Twhirl is a great twitter cliant, but it was not for me, but I recommend you try it. I would give it a 92%.

Next up is Hahlo. This site is basicly like the twitter page, but a way nicer user-interface. You can go here to test it out. I used Hahlo for about a month, but then, like twhirl, I stopped using it. I first got hahlo on my rader by Chris Pirillo. I tried it out, and it was terrific!…for the first month. As of the last few weeks, the replies has not been working, and some other features did not work. If you want a good twitter cliant online, with a nice user-interface, choose hahlo. I am going to give Hahlo a 84%

Last is ping.fm. I heard about this by, again, Chris Pirillo. He made a video about it, which can be found here, and I thought, OMG that is ingenious! You can post to twitter, pownce, jaiku (which twhirl can do), and many a many more. I got an invite, then got it all ready. I had ten different sited synced to my account. I signed up for gtalk bot. It was all working smoothly..except two things. One, I was using Opera, so the site was not very compatable with the browser. Second, I could not see my replies and friends’ posts on twitter, pownce, and plurk. ping.fm is great if have more than two site you update to a lot. I give ping.fm a 86%.

Right now I am using the twitter site. I am hoping some other GOOD twitter cliants would show up. I have my hopes on TweetDeck. I have heard good things about it. In the mean time, this is Bryan, saying see ya later.

Ok, I have been having a weird problem with Windows Vista lately. Every once and a while (maybe twice a day) my screen goes completly white. I can hover over a window for a second, but then it goes back white.

I have asked about this problem before, but GeekSquad (the people who did a “diagnostic” on my computer) said it was a virus, and to get rid of it, it would cost $150. So being the geek that i am, i said “NO”. So i went home and reinstalled Vista. It was fine for the first 3 days…then my speakers and 1 headphone jack stopped. Seven days later, i went back and got a replacment.

So here i am on my NEWLY replaced computer, and guess what… i still get these WSoD’s. I am fed up with Vista. I need this fixed…NOW

Specs: Dell Inspiron 1420, 2GB Ram, 250GB harddrive, Vista home Premium.

NOTE: i have talked to Dell, and Bestbuy. If someone can help me, e-mail me: bryangarcia831@gmail.com Microsoft..if you see this.. contact me A.S.A.P

Get a Free Audio Book

Are you tired of reading books? Me too. Over the years, I developed pulpuslaceratapohobia - and the only known cure for that is <a href="http://audiblepodcast.com/chris">Audible</a>. Finally, a way to digest words without actually having to read them. Professional voices are wonderful choices if you love literary works in audio format. Are you ready to read some <a href="http://audiblepodcast.com/chris">audio books</a>? Maybe you should just listen to them instead.

VMware and Parallels for Virtual Machines

It doesn't matter if you're running on Windows or Mac OS X - every power user needs either <a href="http://send.onenetworkdirect.net/z/13766/rn_a32755/">Parallels</a> or <a href="http://send.onenetworkdirect.net/z/17081/rn_a32755/">VMware</a> (or both). There's never been an easier way to test software without destroying your primary operating system's stability. Think of how many times you wish you could press a 'reverse' button on your computer. Plus, there's no easier way to try new Linux distributions - see what all the fuss is about. Run Windows in OS X, run Linux in Windows, but the best way to do either is with <a href="http://send.onenetworkdirect.net/z/17081/rn_a32755/">VMware</a> and/or <a href="http://send.onenetworkdirect.net/z/13766/rn_a32755/">Parallels</a>.
