When I first got this case, I was so excited. It looked so cool! It was my favorite shade of blue, and it made my MacBook Pro glossy. Which looked cool, and the color didn’t show fingerprints. I thought this case was perfect. It was great, looked great, and kept my MacBook safe… What could go wrong?
Then I noticed something. I was idling my computer and just checking my mail and that kind of thing. I wasn’t even running Safari, and the computer was in a place that normally gets good ventillation normally. But this time, it was running at about 20-40 degrees hotter than normal. I couldn’t understand what was going on. It shouldn’t be that hot seeing as Mail was the only app running. Then I took the case off, and the temperature just dropped insanely fast.
Just so you know how hot it got, it normally goes at about 100 degrees (ambient) idling running safari and mail and iCal and all the basic stuff. It was running at 129 degrees with the case. The processor when idling is at about 117 degrees, with the case, 165 degrees. thats a little hot for my taste. The graphics card in graphics heavy apps like World of Warcraft goes at about 140 degrees, here it was going at 185 degrees and actually crashed WoW. I was frustrated, took it off, and now I am returning it.
