Safari bug can allow for unwanted downloads

There is a flaw in Safari for windows and mac that would allow malicious websites to download files to “the user’s Desktop (Windows), or Downloads directory (Apple).” This flaw would allow the files to be downloaded without any prompting from the Safari browser
“Apple does not feel this is a issue they want to tackle at this time,” says Nitesh Dhanjani who warned Apple Inc and Microsoft about the flaw. While Apple doesn’t seem to be taking this flaw seriously Microsoft is taking it seriously.
The irony is that sometimes keeping your software up to date makes no difference if the publisher of the software doesn’t care to fix a flaw in their own software.
