HandSolo Mobile - Give Qualcomm a Hand For April Fool’s

During a session at The eMarketing Summit @InnoTech, one of the presenters shared a particularly humorous example of integrating digital media into personalized marketing campaigns: HandSolo Mobile by QUALCOMM. It’s basically a new cell phone that integrates into your hand, that is waterproof and easy to use. Check out the HandSolo YouTube video to get a better idea of the depth of the April Fool’s joke. The campaign consisted of a bogus Web site and video, complimented by a leak to targeted bloggers and other influencers. I’m curious to see what the ROI looked like when factoring in the cost of development and marketing, as compared to resulting new customers for the QUALCOMM Wireless Life program.
