Kito Auto Sport: 2005 BMW 330i Dyno Test

During a recent visit to Seattle, I made a special trip to visit my childhood friend, Kito Brielmaier at Kito Auto Sport. Since he could legally drive, if not earlier, he’s been a car fanatic. In recent years, he’s combined his passion with his skills to create a very successful auto tuning business. He has the only 4WD dyno in Washington State, and I had an opportunity to put my BMW to the test. Turns out, my 2005 330i Individual generates a little less than 10 fewer horsies at the wheel than the BMW E36 M3s, which is good news considering the price difference. I guess my lifelong desire to own an M3 can be considered quenched in terms of performance, even without the official M3 badge. For another few thousand dollars, however, I can have Kito Auto Sport drop a supercharger or turbocharger onto my 330i to take it up another 1oo to 200 horsepower and put me in league with the newest M3s. I’ll start saving today.
