Although my search engine marketing agency, Anvil Media, Inc., has offered ORM services for clients the last few years, coverage in mainstream publications like Newsweek certainly add validation to a growing online reputation management industry. Online reputation management consists of a variety of strategies that replace negative search results with positive or neutral results, and leverages a variety of tactics, including SEO PR, SEM PR, and social media marketing (SMM). The Newsweek article highlights service providers like ReputationHawk, ReputationDefender and Done! SEO, who offer a wide variety of solutions for internet reputation repair. Of course they missed a ton of other software and service providers like Naymz, Spokeo and Anvil. Our experience at Anvil Media with ORM clients has been one of significant challenge for a variety of reasons. Regardless, we continue to offer ORM service and have committed to staying on top of all online reputation management and repair issues.
