Clearwater Florida - The Miami of Central Florida

I recently visited Clearwater Florida with my family, and was very impressed by the beauty and cleanliness of the relatively small coastal town. We stayed at the Hilton Clearwater Florida, enjoying the central location with beach access. While we were only visiting for a weekend, we were able to enjoy many of the excellent restaurants Clearwater has to offer. Our favorites include: Frenchy’s, Crabby Bill’s, Bobby’s Bistro & Wine Bar. Bobby’s was a special treat, as the gourmet dishes and stiff drinks were surprisingly affordable. We also visited the Salvador Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, which I highly recommend. For optimal enjoyment, visit close to open or close to avoid crowds. Overall, Clearwater is a great place to enjoy sun, sandy beaches and great food.

We should probably all visit before sea levels make it an underwater attraction.

Betsy,
Good point! Let’s all NOT visit Florida and see how long ya’ll can survive on farm subsidies and drug trafficking. What other industries am I missing when you remove tourism?
