Gnomedex Trip Day 2

Day 2 for me was actually the first day of the conference… Thursday. I woke up rather early, since I had passed out so early the night before. After my shower (omg I NEED a shower like that!!), I spent some time waking up, sitting in front of the window in my room. The view is just absolutely beautiful, and relaxing. I then went to pick up Dave from the ferry, and he came back to my room to hang out for a bit. We watched some tv, until it was time for him to go pick up Preston (four_ones) at the airport. While he was gone, I managed to rest a bit, since I knew it was going to be a looong day.

When they finally arrived at my room, I had a blast meeting the tree that is Preston. Keep in mind, I am “short”… 5′3″. Preston is 6′6!! I then called upstairs to Stephen’s (Datalore) room, and had him join us. The four of us Ops from the live stream chat hung out for about an hour, laughing and talking.

At 4:30, it was time to head over to the conference center to help set up. We did anything and everything Ponzi needed to get rolling, and then the registration party began! For the rest of the evening, I ran around like crazy. I spent my time meeting people, making sure things were going well on the stream, seeing what I could do for anyone there, etc. I was exhausted by the end of the party, but it was a good exhaustion. I met some amazing people, and quickly became friends with them all.

When we finished up for the night, I dropped Dave off at the ferry, and went back to my hotel room to collapse. It didn’t take long for me to fall asleep, I can assure you.
