I am always looking for new people to follow on Twitter, and especially the famous ones. There is a new Twitter service called Vimey where the site gathers tweets and organizes them into categories. But it does not gather just any tweets, it gathers the tweets from the most popular, most followed people on Twitter.

For instance, Ashton Kutcher is under the category actor. Shaq is under celebrity, and The New York Times is under news. Vimey is great for giving you people to follow on Twitter, and by just simply looking on <a href="http://vimey.com" title="http://vimey.

As you all know, there have been PLENTY of rumors surrounding many of the new products that Apple has yet to release. Based on many sites I have read, and plenty of research, here are my predictions as to what events are to take place at Macworld of ‘09:

I wanted to start with the iPhone. There have been TONS of rumors surrounding the iPhone nano and what it has to offer. I have a few things to say. I cannot see Apple going smaller. I am sure you have already seen a bit of complaints when we have let our relatives use our iPhones and they say “My fingers are too fat!” or “How would you ever use such a thing without a stylus?” and we respond simply by saying “We get used to it.” So no, I cannot see Apple releasing an iPhone nano. And if that is yet to happen, my jaw shall drop to the floor.

A new Uni-Bodied 17″ MacBook Pro - Yes, I can definitely see this happening, and I imagine that it will. The 17″ MBP is the last MacBook destined to get a Uni-Body along with that glossy screen and aluminum finish.

iLife expansion - Again, yes, I do see this happening at Macworld. Basically iLife will expand to other platforms, such as PC, to add more usability throughout the Pictures, Videos, and Music categories. You may also see an expansion into the online world, giving iLife a Web approach. Again, a definite possibility!

Mac mini - The Mac mini has last been updated in 2006 and it’s time for a nice new approach. What I am gathering is a new design, possibly an Apple TV look-alike, new graphics, LED Apple Cinema Display monitor support, and a few other tweaks that will make the Mac mini a big hit.

These are just a few events that I think will happen at Macworld, but feel free to share yours with a comment, and let’s hope Apple carries out with our guesses!

Today, January 5, 2009, Steve Jobs released a letter mentioning many topics about his health and his future. Jobs said that he has been losing weight throughout last year, 2008, and has led him to investigate along with his doctors as to what has been causing this. Jobs named finding the answer to the health mystery his #1 priority. But fortunately, after extensive testing, he has come to a conclusion that the cause of his health is a hormone imbalance. Jobs says:

“a hormone imbalance that has been ‘robbing’ me of the proteins my body needs to be healthy. Sophisticated blood tests have confirmed this diagnosis.”

Jobs continues on saying that he has given his all to Apple and has started treatment. He ended with a brief statement saying:

“So now I’ve said more than I wanted to say, and all that I am going to say, about this.”

You can read the official letter on Apple’s website here.

Twitter is a growing social network and is becoming very popular. Chris Pirillo uses it, I use it, and many, many others. But if you are having trouble with followers, then TwitPlug will help. TwitPlug is a growing Ning network located at TwitPlug.com. TwitPlug is a growing social network where you embed all of your Tweets and more! You can connect with other Twitter users, share pics and vids, get help, and a lot more! TwitPlug was made with the main idea of connecting Twitter users together and creating a chain affect. I hope that TwitPlug grows into a major social network just like MySpace, or even Geeks! TwitPlug also has a unique way of featuring members. If you follow TwitPlug, TwitPlug will follow you and then we select a random follower and you will be featured! We hope you add to our community to make our idea grow!

Today, on the 14th of October, Apple released a few new (or “revised” if you prefer) products. First off there is the new MacBook. My thoughts: I really like the new design and the aluminum look. Apple started out that black border, aluminum look with the iMacs and it is now passing over to the MacBook. I really feel that the design chosen was great and couldn’t be improved. I was expecting price drops with these new MacBooks, but at least there was the drop with the old “White” MacBook. The MacBook looks top quality which impresses me. The New MacBook Pro’s take the same design concept of the MacBook’s. I really wish that the prices would fall, though. The MacBook and Pro are both now equipped with backlit keyboards, glass trackpads, and nVIDIA graphics cards. The new 24″ LED Cinema Display also takes after the iMacs design. I like the look of t, but the fact that it only works with the new products is not too good. Many people expected the Display to at least work with all of Apple’s products. I think the event went well and I am so far impressed with what Apple has done.

VMware and Parallels for Virtual Machines

It doesn't matter if you're running on Windows or Mac OS X - every power user needs either Parallels or VMware (or both). There's never been an easier way to test software without destroying your primary operating system's stability. Think of how many times you wish you could press a 'reverse' button on your computer. Plus, there's no easier way to try new Linux distributions - see what all the fuss is about. Run Windows in OS X, run Linux in Windows, but the best way to do either is with VMware and/or Parallels.
