iPod Calendar on a PC

For the past month I have been looking into various ways of getting the calendar on my iPod Touch to sync with my Windows Vista PC. I finally figured out how. Unfortunately, the process has to be done through Outlook.
With Outlook installed (I used 2003, because Student and Home Edition 2007 does not have Outlook), you can tell your iPod to sync its calendars with Outlook. From iTunes, click on your iPod and then the ‘Info’ Tab. From there you can set the calendar options.
Sadly, the process does not with with Windows Calendar (the pre-installed calendar on Vista). Since Outlook 2003 has some issues sharing (aka you need to pay money), I found yet another workaround to get the information on my calendar to my laptop.
I tell Outlook to sync the data pulled from my iPod to my Google Calendar. I can then view my Google Calendar online. Google finally invented a little tool that can easily sync between Google Calendar and Outlook.
The process is a bit tedious, and I am still working out the kinks. However, it seems to be working.

Glad to see that you found a solution to using a Google Calendar on an iPod. This morning while I was checking my RSS feeds, I saw this New York Times article about a possible solution to people in your situation. I obviously don’t know a lot about the details because it has officially be released yet.

It this solution doesn’t work for you, it may work for someone else in the community; which is the whole reason why be blog to begin with.
