With the new year literally hours away, everyone starts thinking of their new year’s resolution. A lot of people think about weight loss, or giving up a certain food. I have tried the “getting in shape” resolution many times, however laziness always takes over. Here are a few tips to help you stay on track with your resolution.
- Do your resolution with a friend. The two of you can encourage each other. For example, if you want to get in shape — you can go to the gym with your friend. If you don’t want to go one day, having a prior commitment with a friend will make you go
- Plan ahead. Create a schedule of what you want to do and when
- Set reasonable goals. Set a time line of when you want to accomplish these goals. If you can set small goals in small time frames — you will be better off than setting one big goal. Tracking your progress is key. It gives you something to reflect on
If you track your progress and follow a plan — you should be able to meet your goals with minimal “problems”.
Good Luck and happy new year!
