Norway Finds Monster in the Sea

OSLO, Norway - Remains of a bus-sized prehistoric “monster” reptile found on a remote Arctic island may be a new species never before recorded by science, researchers said Tuesday.Initial excavation of a site on the Svalbard islands in August yielded the remains, teeth, skull fragments and vertebrae of a reptile estimated to measure nearly 40 feet long, said Joern Harald Hurum of the University of Oslo.” (Link)

The discovery of a new species is a very exciting thing. By finding out when this creature lived, we can learn a lot about the world during that time period. So far, only 3 meters of the creature has been excavated. The rest of the “dig” will have to wait until next year.

You can’t ask for something more exciting than the discovery of a new species!

I’d rather discover a new woman.
