Neglectful Day Care

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Milwaukee police were investigating how a 1-year-old asthmatic was left in a locked-up day care van overnight in the cold, MyFoxMilwaukee.com reports. After waiting outside for the van and then calling relatives, emergency contacts and the Sunrise to Sunset day care, which was closed, Lindsey called 911 at midnight.Police arrived at the parking lot at 12:30 a.m. and broke open the locked gate to reach the van, where they found the child asleep in her booster seat.”(Link)

Something like this is horrible reputation for the day care. However after pulling a neglectful stunt such as the above, I think that there should be some harsh charges put on the day care. The child could have easily died or been kidnapped.

This is a reason that all parents should really get to know the people they are trusting to watch their children day in and day out. After leaving a child in the car over night, who knows what other acts of neglect the day care could have been undertaking.

You know the worst part about all of these day-care issues…trustworthy, responsible and safe people could make a fortune caring for children. Just the ability to give peace of mind to parents is worth whatever is charged.

That is one profession that could thrive on word-of-mouth alone…think of the possibilities. I wish I had a talent for caring for the little ones…but then, I’m also a man which probably would make it difficult in these times to be put in charge of children NO Thanks to the perverts out there…

Re: the story…very startling but glad it turned out well. I cannot even imagine what the parents are thinking at this point. Also, how many kids is this day-care facility caring for that they literally miss the absence of a child? What the hell?

This country is now full of incompetent, untrustworthy, unsafe and and apathetic people and it seems the problems just get worse each day…between the aggressive drivers on our roads and those entrusted to care for our loved ones it’s getting to a point where we need to go back in time to simpler times and family takes care of family…

oh well…
