One on the city’s northwest side claims that neighbors are dealers, junkies and — we can’t print the last descriptive. The complaint alleges people yelling obscenities, fighting, and leaving used needles in the alley. This neighbor did not post the complaint but says it’s true. “I have been here five years and it affects me because I have little ones,” said Angelina Barreia, neighbor.

If I did not get along with my neighbors, posting on a Web site is the last thing that comes to my mind. Maybe it is the peaceful person in me. I try to avoid conflict as much as I can. This Web site seems like it would do nothing but make a previous argument even worse.

If you find yourself in the danger zone with your neighbor, try taking a reasonable approach. Come up with something that will make both of you happy. If attempts at peace do not work right away, do not jump straight to war. You can always ignore your neighbors; after all, they live next to you, not with you.
