I gave in to the expensive movie industry this weekend and saw two movies at the local theater. First I saw Saw IV, and then tonight I saw Rendition. Both were great movies, but they are very different in the type of entertainment that they provide. I will not give away the movie, so please continue reading.
Saw IV is very disturbing and gory. There is a lot of blood in it, however you really shouldn’t expect anything else from Saw. In my opinion Saw IV was the best of the sequels to Saw (Saw I was the best of the four). It plays a lot off of the other Saw movies, so before you go see Saw IV make sure you watch the first three. It is a great movie, and if you are a fan of the other three, Saw IV will not let you down. Don’t bring your kids though, the R rating is very well deserved.
Rendition is another great pick. Very different from Saw IV though. Rendition is a fairly slow movie that you must pay attention in. Do not go see this movie if you want to go relax. Rendition is a thinking movie that requires your attention. The movie has a few torture scenes in it, and that is the only reason the movie has an R rating. This is a good movie for adults, as most children (under 15 or so) probably won’t be able to follow the plot.
I would highly recommend both of these movies. Saw IV will not let you down, and Rendition is a great pick if you like complex movies that require you to think about what is happening.
