iPod Touch, Worth it or Not?

When I heard the iPod touch was coming out, I was dubious. After hearing the good and bad about the iPhone, I didn’t want to go anywhere near the iPod touch. About two weeks ago, I had an urge to go out and by an iPod touch, out of the blue for no reason at all. Luckily, it only took me two days to find one. Best Buy secretly got some in the store, and I noticed online. After flying down to the store, I played with it all night long.

I have to say, it is one of the best buys (not pun intended) I have ever made. It gives me the ability to check email wherever I can get a wireless signal (which is the majority of my college campus and my apartment (where else do I go?). It has enough music storage on it (I barely dented the storage on my 80gb iPod Video).

The iPod Touch has a few downsides to it. The calendar application is simply that, a calendar. It has no way to add events to it from the iPod. The touch screen is amazing and responds exactly how you would hope that it does.

I haven’t put my iPod touch down since I bought it, and it is now one of the many things I bring with my to class on a daily basis. The only question I am asking myself, do I jailbreak it or not? The iPhone apps on my touch would be amazing. However I am not sure if the applications outweighs the potential voiding of the warranty.

You can put events in the calendar from the Ipod! I do it all the time! You just tap the + in the top right hand corner.

My suggestion is without a doubt do a jailbreak on your ipod touch, works really find with mine and theres no way your device would be broken. It’s the only way to make it worth it. I wouldn’t have bought it if I didn’t have plan to jailbreak mine. :)

dude.
if you jailbreak and something goes wrong,
force restore(hold down home button and plug into your computer), then, there is absolutely no trace that you jailbroke your ipod.

i want ipod touch
