OnScreen Technologies is a company doing research into alternative ways to cool servers. Todays servers generate a lot of heat, that heat is typically dispensed with a fan cooling system. The drawbacks to this are that the fan itself uses energy, they are inefficient and noisy too!
These folks have a system called WayCool. This is a hermetically sealed chamber that uses air and liquid along with carbon technology to inductively draw heat away from the internals of the machine.
Cool! (literally) And for me, if they are quieter, I’m good.
