Tire Pressure Up Gas Mileage Up

This seems to be fairly academic but it is always good to remember to keep your tires inflated properly to get the best gas mileage possible with your vehicle. It has been suggested that doing this boosts fuel efficiency by 3.3% or 10 cents a gallon, hey every little bit helps right?
General usage, wear and tear, etc. cause tires to lose 1 to 2 Pounds Per Square Inch (PSI) per month. In an example of a car that gets 25 mpg, driven for 1250 miles at $3 per gallon, after five months of losing pressure, you would spend an extra $13.80; after 10 months this grows to $51.68. Again, not the end of the world but hey.
How do you adjust the pressure and what is the proper pressure? Usually there is a sticker on the inside of the driver side door that has recommendations on what the pressure should be. Most gas stations have air pumps and some of those have pressure gauges attached, if not, find a pressure gauge at a local store.
