Home Building With 3D Printers

Despite a rough economy, I am seeing houses being sold all the time. What’s also interesting is the growth of various builders beginning to utilize a variety of technology to better their chances of being found by potential customers.

Well today, all of that comes to head with a new technology that I think tops them all. You are about to see a 3D printer that can essentially, “print” or fabricate components that can be used to help build homes.

I am personally of the mind that within our lifetimes, we’ll see devices like this helping builders to create more efficient homes. I mean seriously, this is just amazing. I also love the fact that it potentially gives whoever has access to it a huge leg up.

In hurricane-prone areas, concrete is the best option for home construction. I’d love to have a house built using this technology. I am curious if there’s any cost difference between this and concrete block or ICF construction.
