IE9 Faster Than Chrome Browser

There should be an image here!I never thought it would happen, but it looks like the impossible just became possible. According to a number of articles I have read today, Chrome has lost out to IE9 in HTML5 speed tests. Now there are likely different ways of looking at this in which Microsoft is not coming out the winner here, but I have yet to see them.

Clearly Microsoft is looking to get serious about its Web based efforts — from changes to Bing, the new MS Office suite on the Web, down to massive changes made to IE. It seems clear that Microsoft’s core efforts are set to go after Google with full force.

What remains is to see if Google will end maintaining despite Microsoft’s advances or not. I am of the mind that Microsoft can beat Google with its online Office product, but has zero chances of regaining mind share with Bing. Google is just too embedded in our world for that to change out any time soon.

HTML rendering speed is trivial. Give us a decently modern javascript engine in IE9 and I’ll be satisfied. The performance of IE8′s js is criminal – there’s no excuse for it. The engines in Safari, Chrome, and Firefox are all open source – if you can’t do better, license it for christ’s sakes!

You would be amazed of how Microsoft run when it is under heavy competition, Microsoft is a giant beast, it takes some time for him to turn around, but then he can crush everybody.
Microsoft has just made its turn
