Windows Intune Examined
Windows Intune, if implemented correctly, will be a great boon for smaller businesses. I qualify it by saying it must be usable as described for anyone to take Intune seriously. But assuming half of what is being highlighted here works reasonably well, I am all for it.
I have to admit, up until now I was not all that impressed with the promise of Microsoft cloud services. But I do like the idea of being able to manage all of the computers on one’s network. The screenshots provided demonstrate a fairly sane looking application that ought to provide the kind of control that smaller businesses are looking for.
So what about something like Spiceworks, then? Isn’t this basically the same thing? I think it is, but at the same time, Spiceworks may not be the best fit for all businesses, either. At this point, we’ll have to see how Intune plays out. Who knows? It may turn into a fantastic small business tool as it’s developed!
