Chris, just as you do, I work around my computer screens a lot. Oddly I don’t work at my computer desk that much during the weekdays, but the weekends are where I’m mainly working near there. My desk has four monitors with different uses: farthest left) my PC screen 17″, (center left) my gaming screen 24″, (center right) my main Mac screen 24″, (farthest right) my extra Mac screen 13″.

I don’t always have all four of them on at the same time, but sometimes I do. I work a lot around them — sometimes six hours a day to even eight hours (on weekends), at one to three hour intervals, and sometimes four to five hours in one sitting at night. Recently, I’ve been experiencing aggressive migraines and headaches — usually right after the weekends. Obviously, I took into consideration that it was my computer usage. Since then, I’ve turned down the brightness to about half of what they used to be on each screen, approximately equal brightness, and I’ve been trying to limit my time on the computers as much as I can (but it seems to be limiting my productivity).

I continue to get these harsh headaches, and I’ve taken as much as Advil to try to stop them. It hasn’t worked out well, and I’m trying to come up with some solutions. I’ve even gone to lengths of putting sunglasses on when I sit in front of my displays. Have you or any of your readers been through the kind of problems that I’ve been experiencing, and would you have any suggestions on what could help me out? If you do, it would be much appreciated. Thank you.
